These Terms govern your use of the Catalyst website, game server, launcher, community services, and related features. By creating an account or using Catalyst, you agree to these Terms and the Game Rules.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, or meet the minimum digital-consent age required where you live. You are responsible for your login credentials and activity performed through your account. Account sharing, selling, trading, and impersonation are prohibited. Information supplied during registration must be accurate.
2. Acceptable use
You may use Catalyst only for personal entertainment. You may not exploit bugs, automate gameplay, interfere with services, attack infrastructure, evade enforcement, distribute malicious software, or use Catalyst for unlawful activity. Detailed gameplay expectations appear in the Game Rules.
3. Virtual items and points
Catalyst Points, rewards, items, ranks, and account progress are limited, revocable permissions within the service. They are not currency or property, have no cash value, and cannot be sold or transferred outside approved game systems. Balances or items may be corrected when caused by bugs, chargebacks, exploits, or administrative error.
4. Store and payments
Any paid offering must show its price and contents before purchase. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, delivered digital benefits are final. Fraudulent payments and chargebacks may result in account restriction. Contact official support before disputing a transaction so the team can investigate.
5. Enforcement and availability
Catalyst may warn, mute, suspend, restrict, reset, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Rules. Serious abuse may be acted on without prior notice. Features, rates, content, and availability may change, and uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.
6. Intellectual property
Catalyst branding, website code, original artwork, and original content belong to their respective owners. RuneScape and related marks and assets belong to Jagex Ltd. Catalyst is an independent fan-operated private server and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, Catalyst is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use, downtime, account action, or loss of virtual progress. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes and contact
These Terms may be updated as the service changes. Material revisions will be announced through the website or official community channels. Continuing to use Catalyst after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Questions should be directed through the official Catalyst support channel.
